Colorado, Washington Begin Risky Legal Marijuana Sales

Posted by Bryan Treadway on Tuesday, December 31, 2013,

As Colorado and Washington open up their states to legal marijuana sales, their residents face myriad challenges as pioneers in a country that has otherwise outlawed the drug--from smuggling into other states to the federal government's looming ability to crack down on marijuana growers.

The Associated Press released a report on Sunday detailing what it calls the "pitfalls" of being the first states to fully legalize the marijuana trade. The report cites the potential for smuggling into ...

The Agency not only uses fancy high-tech tricks to get information from it’s targets on the digital front, it also uses more traditional spying methods. “If a target person, agency or company orders a new computer or related accessories, for example, TAO can divert th...

Media Glosses Over Irony of Global Warming Scientists Trapped in Antarctic Ice

Somewhere far, far to the south where it is summer, a group of global warming scientists are trapped in the Antarctic ice. If you missed the irony of that situation, it is because much of the mainstream media has glossed over that rather inconvenient bit of hilarity. As an example here is an Associated Press story that avoids mentioning the real mission of the scientists aboard the icebound Russian ship:

But that may be changing.

Now that the ranking member of the House of Representatives’ Energy and Commerce Committee is decrying the incident as possibly indicative of a wider security issue, the brazen attack is get...

Obamacare Vending Machine Mandate Expected to Cost Businesses Millions

Not even vending machines are outside the scope of Obamacare mandates. Under the bill's new labeling regulations nutrition information must be placed next to each slot of candy bars, chips, peanuts and cracker-jacks.

Around 457 pages into Obamcare, section 4205 stipulates:

In the midst of all this plenty, you should all be kicking back and enjoying those sweet, lower energy bills, right?

Oddly enough… no.

In a small sampling of 32 study participants, test subjects were able to spot familiar faces reflected in the pupils of someone who was photograph...

7 Reasons the TSA Sucks (A Security Expert's Perspective)

For a bunch of people in snappy uniforms patting down crotches, the TSA is remarkably unpopular. Nobody likes going through security at the airport, but you probably figured most of it had a point. All those hours spent in line with other shoeless travelers are a necessary precursor to safe flying. It's annoying, but at least it wards off terrorism.

That's all bull. The TSA couldn't protect you from a 6-year-old with a water balloon. What are my qualifications ...

Obama gathers more and more power in his quest to become dictator of America.

The thing to remember about Barack Obama, you know, all these personality things are fine, fun to talk about, but the thing to remember, the guy’s a statist. He is a socialist. He believes people are incapable and incompetent in running their own lives. He believes that everybody ought to be controlled by government.
