A benefit of socialism has finally been discovered. It provides an exciting new way to celebrate Halloween, thanks to exploding corpses:

Bodies at a morgue in the Venezuelan state of Zulia have begun exploding from rot due to lack of electricity, an investigative report by BBC Mundo has revealed.

Normally morgues are kept cool so that the gases resulting from decay don’t cause the bodies to burst. But that takes energy, which Venezuela lacks, despite sitting on the world’s largest proven oil reserves.

As has been proven repeatedly, socialism does not work. Socialist Venezuela has become so dysfunctional that it cannot get the oil out of the ground. Its collectivist rulers are too greedy to let anyone else come in and do it. So the lights don’t come on and the corpses explode.
